Payroll giving

Make your gifts go further

You can make a regular tax-free donation that's taken from your gross (pre-tax) salary meaning you can give more to us at no extra cost to yourself.

Payroll Giving donations are deducted from your pre-tax salary each time you’re paid; we receive your donation plus extra that you would have otherwise paid in tax.

For example, if you are a 20% taxpayer and set up a monthly payroll giving donation of £10 to CHAS, your take-home or net salary will only drop by £8.

How do I get started?

Getting started with Payroll Giving is easy with the help of our partner Hands On Payroll Giving.

Hands On Payroll Giving is a family-owned Professional Fundraising Organisation funded by the UK’s top charities to promote Payroll Giving on their behalf. 100% of your donation reaches Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

Fill out this short form on the Hands On Payroll Giving website, and they'll set things in motion!

Your employer needs to run a Payroll Giving scheme before donations can start being taken from your salary. Once you’ve submitted your form, Hands On Payroll Giving will contact your employer directly to get this sorted.

How do I start, or amend a donation?

On the Hands On Payroll Giving website click Your Donationspage on the menu bar and complete the form to start your Payroll Giving donation. If you are already giving and want to make changes, you can also use the Your Donations page to amend your current instructions. For more info visit the FAQs page.
