The support that CHAS provides is so important to us, physically and emotionally. I honestly don’t know how we would manage without it. To know that there is always someone at the end of the phone if we need advice or even just someone to talk to is massive. It can be very lonely sometimes and not many people truly understand. But I feel CHAS do.

How we help
We care for the whole family
We care for the entire family, not just the child who is ill, offering choices tailored to each unique situation.
We can support siblings, parents, carers, other family members and significant people in your child's life, helping to create lasting memories and manage medical needs.
The Family Support Team offer specialist support for the whole family. This team can offer sociual work support, advice on finances, benefits, sibling support, transition to adult services for 16 - 21 year olds, chaplaincy, end of life care and bereavement.
Everyone is unique, so is our support
We work closely with other care teams in hospitals and in social care to ensure we offer you seamless support.
From the early days of diagnosis, throughout the child’s life, during bereavement and beyond, CHAS will be by your side, helping you navigate and cope with the journey ahead.
