Supernova Forth Road Bridge 5k

Edinburgh, East and Fife
2 Nov 2024

Join CHAS at the very first Supernova Forth Road Bridge 5k this November!

On Saturday 2 November 2024, the iconic Forth Road Bridge will be completely closed for you to walk, jog or run 5k. Celebrate its 60th anniversary in a magical, immersive evening of light and colour as you raise vital funds for CHAS.

The Supernova 5k allows you to reconnect with the Forth Road Bridge. Many of us remember crossing it in a car or on the pedestrian footpaths, but with it being completely closed to traffic for the evening, this is an opportunity to tread those carriageways on foot.

Entries to this event are being allocated from ballot entries on the event organisers’ website and cost £38.50 per person. You can enter here – make sure to choose CHAS as your chosen charity!

You will be contacted on or before 8 April by the event organisers with your ballot result. If you are successful in the ballot you can look forward to:

  • Walking, jogging, or running a fantastic 5K route, enjoying a series of spectacular light and colour features all the way. The event is completely accessible and therefore suitable for all abilities. You decide your pace, whether that is to run at the speed of light, or take your time and snap a few pictures and selfies as you go!
  • We’ll send you your very own CHAS t-shirt to wear with pride at the event! You’ll also be given a special LED Supernova head torch from the event organisers to help you light up the night which is yours to keep.
  • Transport to and from the Forth Road Bridge is included as part of your entry, and you’ll be allocated a travel hub where your experience will begin.
  • Before you reach that start line, the event organisers make sure you’re ready for it by participating in a fun Supernova warm-up full of easy moves and stretches.
  • After finishing your Supernova Forth Road Bridge experience, you will receive your exclusive Supernova Forth Road Bridge medal and finishers pack as a memento of your evening, as well as a your very own CHAS medal for participating and raising funds for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland at the event!

The ballot application process is now open for you to be in with a chance of taking part in this unmissable experience. Expressions of interest to participate in this event are already unprecedented, so enter now to be in with a chance of participating! Enter the ballot for your CHAS place at the link below, and don’t forget to enter CHAS as your chosen charity!
