Yoga in October
Unwind, strengthen, and make a difference by joining our Yoga in October challenge in support of children and families.
This October, we're inviting you to take part in a unique challenge that benefits both your well-being and a worthy cause. Welcome to Yoga in October, a month-long challenge where you commit to practicing at least 20 minutes of yoga every day, while raising vital funds for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland.
How It Works
- Sign up: Register for the challenge and set up your personal fundraising page. You can do this via Facebook or JustGiving, and we’ll also send out a paper sponsorship form for you to receive any cash donations too.
Make sure to join our dedicated Facebook group to get our daily updates and meet your fellow challenge participants to cheer each other on and get inspired! We’ll send out your welcome pack and exclusive CHAS gym bag to get you started with your challenge.
- Yoga Every Day: Dedicate at least 20 minutes each day in October to yoga. It could be a morning stretch, a mid-day flow, or a calming evening session—whatever suits your schedule.
- Fundraise for CHAS: Share your journey with friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage them to support your challenge by donating to CHAS. Every penny raised helps provide vital care for children with life-shortening conditions all across Scotland. You’ll receive your very own Yoga in October medal for raising £100 during the challenge, and your exclusive CHAS water bottle for raising £200!
We’ve tried to answer any questions you may have below, but if we’ve missed any, don’t hesitate to email the team on TeamCHAS@chas.org.uk.
Why Yoga in October?
As the seasons change, it's the perfect time to reset, rejuvenate, and reconnect with your body and mind. Yoga is more than just exercise—it's a pathway to balance, flexibility, and inner peace. By committing to this daily practice, you'll enhance your health, relieve stress, and develop a positive habit that lasts beyond October.
The Impact
Your participation in the 'Yoga in October' challenge directly supports CHAS’s mission to offer vital care and support to children and families facing the most difficult circumstances. Not only will you be enhancing your own well-being, but you'll also be making a significant difference in the lives of these children and their loved ones.
What You'll Get

A friend accidentally donated to my Facebook fundraiser. Can you give them a refund?
Unfortunately, we can’t issue refunds through Facebook but people can request a refund themselves from Facebook by following the below steps:
Send the donor this link:
https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/162031714239823

- Select - I want a refund for my donation(s)
- Select - I made a donation by accident and request the refund.
My friend who is not online and would like to donate – how can they do this?
They can give you the cash or transfer you the funds (via PayPal, Online Banking etc) and you can add the donation to your fundraiser yourself. If this is not possible, please get in touch with us for alternative methods of sending in cash donations at the end of the challenge.
I only have cash donations – how do I send in the funds raised from this?
If you have raised money via a sponsor sheet then you can:
- Donate the raised funds online here once all your donations have been collected: https://www.chas.org.uk/donate
- Make sure to note your full name and the challenge name, and we’ll look out for this coming in to attribute to your fundraising total.
