Beth is a complementary therapist volunteer at Rachel House.
Beth runs her own therapy business and donates her unique skills and talents to make a real impact on families.
An important, but often overlooked, service that CHAS provides is to offer respite to the parents and carers of the children. A relaxing massage or other treatment when they are staying at the hospice provides a welcome break from their busy lives.

I've had a couple of them say they almost felt drunk...they're so relaxed, and haven't felt that way for such a long time.
Running your own business or having a full-time job takes a lot of time. We appreciate that, and can be very flexible to accommodate what will suit you best.
Beth already ran her own therapy business but felt she was able to offer her time and skills to help CHAS. Like many, Beth had mixed feelings about volunteering at the hospice but she has found the experience very rewarding.
Beth enjoys the friendly and upbeat atmosphere of the hospice but, most of all, she values the feedback from the parents and carers she works with.
